Gender is portrayed through the different characters shown, the young teenage boys, middle aged men, teenage girls, and the elderly are all depicted differently. At the start of the clip, we see the wife cooking in the kitchen, this shows a stereotype that women who are housewives cook and clean and home, but we see the husband sitting on the dinner table in a suit like he has come back from work. This shows the stereo of type of him being a rich business man only because he is wearing a suit.
The girl has a typical teenagers bedroom which is messy, and a lot of things in it, so its over crowded. She answers the phone this shows a typical stereotype that teenagers are always on the phone, the programming appears to be old because the telephone is not wireless and has a cord this shows that it is not set in the present day which new technology is a little more advanced.
Yet again another stereotype is when we see a couple shopping for a baby, we then see a wife walking around the shop picking items and putting them in a shopping basket, this shows that women love to go shopping. After that we then see the male character pick something to put in the basket but the female character takes it out n puts it back and picks something more expensive this shows that females are the dominant gender when comes to shopping.
